Branding

                                           Branding

A brand is a "Name, term, design, symbol, or any other feature that identifies one seller's good or service as distinct from those of other sellers. Branding began as a way to tell one person's cattle from another by means of a hot iron stamp.

Proper branding can result in higher sales of not only one product, but on other products associated with that brand. For example, if a customer loves Parle Hide and Seek, he or she is more likely to try other products offered by the company such as Milano.

The experiential aspect consists of the sum of all points of contact with the brand and is known as the brand experience. The brand experience is a brand's action perceived by a person. The psychological aspect, sometimes referred to as the brand image, is a symbolic construct created within the minds of people, consisting of all the information and expectations associated with a product, service or the company(ies) providing them.

A brand is therefore one of the most valuable elements in an advertising theme, as it demonstrates what the brand owner is able to offer in the market place. The art of creating and maintaining a brand is called brand management.

BRAND: Honda Stunner 125

As far as the brand name goes, HONDA is a well respected brand name in the field of 2 wheelers, be it bikes or scooters.  In the highly competitive market of bikes with brands like Bajaj and Hero in the fray HONDA has held the forte throughout. At first, they started with low power bikes and scooters in the range of 100-125cc. Their major foray in the 150-180cc segment was with Stunner 125 and Stunner 125 CBFi.

How they advertised their brands is seen in the way they write the name of the bikes. The 125cc bikes like Jive and Starcity are portrayed in a very normal style while Stunner is written in a stunning kind of style as seen in the picture above.

HONDA has a wings in its logo which defines agility and speed. The logo stunner on the fuel tank of the bike has a very likable feel to it.
